No, It’s My Source

Sometimes in our lives, we experience the need to keep up with the Joneses.  We see something that someone has and think, boy! I wish I had that, or something like it.  Sometimes we harbor resentment if we can’t have what others have.  It may be his talent, or her wardrobe, or his good looks or her penmanship.  Often, there is no rhyme or reason for feeling the way we do, because the Creator has gifted each of us with wonderful and unique abilities, bodies and desires.  But sometimes the feelings just come.

What we need to realize is that we don’t have to feel less than a valuable creation because we don’t have whatever attributes someone else has.  We all come from the same source, and the Creator is that source.

*Read The Well by Tari Follett.

When we think about the things that we want from life, we usually think of a lot of hard work, a job that pays well enough to meet our needs, winning the lottery and so forth.  We think that our fellow human beings are responsible for seeing to our needs.  Not that we are necessarily asking for a handout, rather, we tend to think of them as being part and parcel of our security.  Our society, our parents, our friends all say that is the case.  If we are in business for ourselves, our customers are the source of our income.  If we work for someone else, the boss is the source of our income.  If we have a disability, the government is the source of our income, and so on.

But let’s break through that myth.  Suppose that the Creator, the energy form that made the entire Universe, is where the buck stops.  Suppose that we don’t have to worry about who will buy something from us, if we have advertised properly, if we have produced enough parts, filed enough papers, or served enough meals.  Suppose that the only thing we have to do is work alongside the Creator—who is already seeing to all the needs that everyone on the earth can possibly have.

Perhaps you think that is a lot of supposition.  But what if?  Perhaps you’ve heard the question, “Does the raven worry about his food?  Is he not arrayed in beautiful feathers?”  That being so, why should we humans, who were created a little lower than the angels, worry about whether or not we are going to have enough food, clothing, shelter, gasoline for the car, and so on?

Now this may seem to you to be a blind leap into something beyond faith, to make the assumption that the Creator is going to make everything all right.  And yes, there are certain things that need to happen in our lives to help that along, and certain things that we need to know fully in our hearts and minds, as well as efforts that are needed to ground the energy, but yes, we can all “get there.”  We can ALL get there.  You see, the Creator is not just my source, or the source of a privileged few, rather the Creator is the source of all things in the Universe.  That being so, the Creator is not too busy to see to your needs or my needs, or your cousin Alfie’s needs.  The Creator made and sustains the Universe.  He made and sustains all life—including yours, mine, and Alfie’s.

As The Bible says, “It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the keys to the kingdom.”  What this means is that the Creator receives pleasure by meeting the needs of every individual.  Do you believe it?  Does it sound too good to be true?  The Creator receives pleasure when the needs of every individual are met.

Now let’s not get ridiculous and suppose that we can make a wish and like a magical genii the Creator is going to drop a winning lottery ticket in our lap.  Things are not going to come quite that easily.  There is work involved to create the flow of energy needed to make the Universal machine work.  You have to oil the system.

According to certain systems, the performance of rituals takes care of the work.  Some traditions focus on meditations, while others suggest giving to charity.  The New Age answer is to repeat affirmations.  I would tell you, after several years of working on this problem—meeting financial and physical needs—that it takes a combination of these things in order to grease the wheels of the Universe.  But what I have found, also, is that the knowledge that the Universe is One, There is None Else Beside the Creator, that is the greatest secret to achieving anything and everything that we want in our lives.  You just have to build that bridge of energy to make your desires known and to open a place for them to come through, in their entirety.

Sounds good, eh?  But how do we do that?  One of the quickest ways to get started is to remove negativity from your thought patterns.  Do not think ill of others, apply forgiveness as necessary, including to yourself, and write affirmations regarding the things that you want.  Why do we have to turn around our thinking about others?  Especially if we think that they might be keeping us from our good?  Because not doing so creates a blockage between us and our good.  We have to take responsibility for our thinking.  We are the only ones who can keep our good from coming to us.  If we truly accept that there is none else besides the Creator, and the Creator’s will is for us to have everything we desire, and the Creator receives pleasure from giving us what we want, then by all means, step out of your own path and allow the Creator to have his pleasure.  No one, absolutely no one, can keep your good from you.  Another person achieving his or her greatest wishes does not lessen the likelihood that yours will be fulfilled.  Another person being jealous or thinking negatively about you or even doing negative rituals against you cannot lesson the likelihood that your greatest wishes will be fulfilled.  IF you acknowledge that the Creator is the source of all good and you willingly submit to the fact that the Creator receives pleasure in the fulfillment of your wishes.

So you might say that if you affirm to yourself, that “There is None Else Beside the Creator” then you are doing all the work that you need to do to make your dreams come true.  And once the energy flow is established, that is exactly right, with the possible exception of giving thanks when we receive something, no matter how simple it may seem.  For example, it is good to give thanks for waking up in the morning.  It is wise to give thanks for meals.  It is important to give thanks for all manner of income.  To give thanks for all the people we love being in our lives shows that we have understanding.  And so on and so forth.

Another way of building the connection with the Creator is to give thanks for the healing and welfare of others.  Simply stating, “I give thanks that it is the will of the Creator to send a complete recovery from Heaven, spiritual, mental, emotional and physical healing to:  Jerry, Tom and Fred, for example.”  By stating that you are giving thanks, you are accepting the notion that the Creator already knows our needs before we ask about them.  This makes the energy work quickly and efficiently.  Keep in mind the importance of asking not only for yourself and your loved ones, for who would despise their own family?  But also affirm health, prosperity and all good things for others.  A note of warning, here, however, is that we may not know the best thing for others, so it is wise to ask the individual if you may pray or affirm for them before doing so.  Keep in mind also, that the Universe is very literal.  Be specific in the manner in which you would like your request fulfilled.  As the saying goes, “Be careful what you wish for—you just might get it.”  Think of all the possible ways in which your affirmation can be fulfilled, then try to narrow the field so that you don’t end up having to do something you would prefer not to.  In other words, give thanks that your income increases through a particular means, such as lottery winnings.

When you have begun to get results from building your connection to the Creator, and having given thanks for this, it is important to give back to the Universe.  Keep in mind, that since all of Creation depends upon the good will of the Creator, that sometimes the Creator works through human angels to see to the needs of others.  In that respect, it becomes reinforcing of the connection with the Creator to do part of that work by giving to those who are needy.  In fact, when one’s funds are low, it is an act of faith to jump-start the receipt of income by giving to charity, whether through financial donation, service, or goods.

So rest assured that there IS enough water in the well for everyone to drink their fill.  What someone else has in no way diminishes what you can receive, even if someone is intent upon doing so.  There is none else beside the Creator—and it is the Creator’s good will to give you the keys to the kingdom or anything else that you might desire.

May you be richly blessed!
